clinical pilates
Fixt Physio + Chiro integrates Clinical Pilates with progressive strength training as part of our rehabilitation model.
Our approach emphasizes slow, controlled movement performed under continuous muscular tension. By working at a deliberate pace, exercises target deep stabilizing muscles while building strength, endurance, core stability, and balance in a way that is both safe and highly effective.
In addition to these foundational movement patterns, we incorporate progressive loading using springs, resistance, and free weights to safely increase strength over time. This combination allows us to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and real-world performance.
Unlike many traditional rehabilitation exercises, this style of training challenges muscles to sustained fatigue while minimizing joint stress. Resistance and intensity are fully adjustable, making the work appropriate for all levels—from elite athletes to postpartum rehabilitation and individuals rebuilding strength after injury.
During your sessions, you can expect:
• Slow, controlled movements designed to build strength and stability
• Progressive resistance through springs, bands, and free weights
• Exercises organized in focused blocks (core, upper body, lower body)
• Balanced training of left and right sides of the body
• Continuous muscular engagement with minimal joint impact
All rehabilitation sessions are delivered by licensed clinicians. Our team of physiotherapists and chiropractors integrate these movement principles into personalized treatment plans based on your assessment and goals.
Following an initial assessment, sessions may qualify for physiotherapy or chiropractic insurance coverage, or may be claimed as eligible medical expenses on your Canadian tax return.
